Homemade Gift Baskets

I have already decided that next year I am giving mostly handmade, homemade gift baskets.

These have a bar of handmade soap, a package of my peppermint mini soaps, a tube of peppermint lip balm and a candle. The candle is bought but candles are next on my craft list!

Next year the candles will be hand-poured as well.

I made twig stars sprayed with glitter glue to give the baskets a rustic look plus Jake and Luke's teachers will have an ornament for their tree.

I found the little buckets, baskets, ribbon and basket wrap all at Hobby Lobby for half price.

Do you make your own crafts/gifts? If so, post a link to yours. I would love to see your ideas!

Those twig stars are just wonderful! I'd have a whole garland of them hanging in my doorways all year long! :)

What lovely gifts! This year I knitted kitchen scrubbies and hung them over kitchen soap I bought during Bath and Body Works big sale. I also knitted up a spa set for my sister out some really nice natural cotton. Last year I made homemade vanilla. The people on my list have various food allergies/issues so every year I try to come up with some non-edible gift ideas and I am not particularly crafty so it takes some thinking! Merry Christmas!!! ~Leslie

I love it...just beautiful and I would love to receive something like that! I do make home made bundt cakes and wrap them like this for all my neighbors (20) of them. I love the header, priceless! ;D

Those turned out just as cute as can be. I love the twig ornament! That's a very thoughtful gift and whomever the recipients are I'm sure will feel that love that went into it.

They look fantastic!
I made candles once. Many many many years ago, haha. I think they would be easier than soap.
I find it fascinating, all the people who make their own soap, but I'm afraid I wouldn't mix well with lye...

I am sure your recipients will be wonderfully impressed! Lucky them! :)

I've done candles and canning and baking and lip balm and grapevine wreaths and soap from purchased base and pinecone angels and some other stuff. We also make wine. I'm starting to put more of the crafts on my blog (http://edenhills.wordpress.com). I just got brave and ordered the lye to do goats' milk soap, so I'll be back to review your tutorial soon. I just love your stars!

Love your new face page of the boys. And your baskets are beautiful. I love the star in each. I,too, am making lots of my gifts this year. I was just telling Brendie how I have enjoyed doing that this time. I hope to continue on,in coming years, too. Maybe we can persuade other family members to do the same.I'm liking my home made gift bag idea, more and more. I hope to have one for each family member by another year.Just fold them away in a box for the next year.I hope it all works out.Stay Warm.

Remember a significant friend who is engaging in physical fitness regularly with a gift basket filled with work out clothing, wristbands, socks, protein snacks and supplements and music CDs.

These baskets are beautiful, I love the star! I was thinking about either buying or making chocolate gift baskets for my mother and sisters for Valentine's Day. I am not very crafty but I would love to be able to make something as beautiful as the baskets that you made.
