The new job went well yesterday. I did a lot of orientation, policy and procedure testing and staring at a computer screen. Thursday, I start some actual "job" stuff. I think I'll take today as a play day! It's been over a month since I made soap and I miss it!
A friend of mine sent me a box of essential and fragrance oils she found in a box of craft items from a yard sale so I decided to go through them this morning and see what I have. Lots and lots of different scents to play with. Some are labeled, some are not. The unlabeled are going in the "use for candle-making" pile. I haven't decided what scent I'm going with today but it will be a cold process soap and I will post the results on Friday.

I would love to win Mary Janes Farm - the only store we had in the area who carried it is gone and I loved to get that as a special treat a few times a year. I still look at my old ones...thanks for the chance!
I would be afraid to make soap. Maybe some day I'll give it a try, but knowing me, and from what I've read about making it, I'm better off buying it from someone who enjoys making it. ;-)

Crystal, I do have a recipe for a natural acne fighter soap. It's made with goat milk, ground oatmeal and honey. It does not have any scents or dyes added for a very natural cleansing. I am planning to make a batch of this in the next week or so. Email me with your address and I will send you a sample. If you get good results, I'll make a batch up to place in my Etsy store for future ordering.

I once sold some essential oils at a yard sale for our youth group. Someone had donated them. Good idea for the unlabeled ones to be used for candles!
I would like to win because the Lord has turned my heart toward a country way of living and I know I would enjoy it. Enjoy your soap making, I'm planning to start making my own soaps soon also. Can't wait to see your results!!! :)

Thanks for pointing that out Crystal! I didn't get the link right when I changed over from my Christmas page. You can click on it now and it should work. I went ahead and made up a batch of that soap today. It's cold process so it will take about 4 weeks to cure but I will send it as soon as it is ready!
